Nest day from Dawson River to Injune our 2nd visit, no point in rushing North roads flooded due to TC's.
Good camp ground, power, water, excellent toilets and laundry. $12/day for two days third day free. An excellent deal and we spent a lot more in town over the three days, at the hardware, news agent, general store and the PUB!. It's a pity more towns do not have similar idea's for the Bush camping self contained traveler's, at reasonable cost we will use the site's and spend money in Town.
Repairs - new utility box has worn thru the stone guard mesh, so glued & stitched on some salvaged seat belt webbing.
Plus some flat rubber hose (ex Peter Ford) on the corners of the utility box.
Every day "SMILIN!"
These's guy's get in every where - "Close the Dunny Lid" yeah had to fish him out of the dunny!
Time to get the Annexe Poles and rod holder's installed.
After a relaxing three day's in Injune, time to roll along to Mitchell.
We checked out the Mitchell caravan park, close to the Hwy so elected to camp at the Show Grounds. Meanwhile we checked out the local Spa and on the walk over under the bridge the mural's were worth a series of photo's - local activities.

Finally ______!
_______we got to the "SPA" - $4 all day. Good deal!
The caravan park managers do not eat chillies, just grow them for decoration. Once they knew Sue was Thai - help yourself. Loaded up on chillies and pepper's. Three months later still chewing on chillies.
Friendly 'FLIES' then_____!
It bucketed down for about 20 minutes and we were sloshing around the show grounds. A walk down town later and yakking to a local over his fence, just over 103 point's 1.33 inches for the oldies and 33.9mm of rain in that down pour.
The Show Ground was great until the dogs starting barking - 'ALL NIGHT" after two nights of that racket we relocated to Neil Turner Weir, just out of town. If it's not dogs, it's liquid shrapnel all night. Off early via Moven ____
It's early and cold! Checking out Moven open air museum on the isde of the road. Sue's not so sure about camping / living in a Kerosene Drum Hut, very modern for it's time. Larger buildings they used 44 gallon drums cut and flattened. Thus called "DRUM SHEETS'
Which brings to mind a story told by one of the drilling managers in Bangladesh. 'Just had a meeting with the local's and they are on about DUMB SHIT'S for this and that. In the final translation , they want the DUMB SHIT'S = DRUM SHEETS for erosion control and shoring the creek bank. Easy misunderstanding with the lauguage skills of the locals.
What a magic piece of engineering - no it's not moveable!
Steel wheels! No traction in the MUD!
Yeah, you can pat the Koala, but watch out for the Emu!
Tambo - and our Barcoo River camp, with the lamb stew on and a cold tinnie in hand, how good is this!
Next stop - Lloyd Jones Weir!
